Duration of training
The dual training programme in the civil service comprises 3 years.
As an administrative assistant, you will become an expert in all administrative tasks at Fulda University of Applied Sciences during your three-year training programme. You will get to know the various divisions and areas of university administration (e.g. Human Resources Management, Financial Management, Student Counselling, Facilities Management and much more). In addition, you will gain exciting insights into our departmental administration. The training is typically divided into theoretical and practical phases that combine what you have learnt with the real world of work. You will learn the theory in parallel at the vocational training college and at the Hessian Association of Administrative Schools (Fulda location). Your work will be strongly characterised by
Service orientation,
the use of digital media,
the application of legal regulations.
Our dynamic and supportive team will provide you with comprehensive guidance and support during your training as an administrative assistant. Here, you will not only benefit from training that is related to practice, but also from a cool campus life that offers numerous opportunities for networking and personal development.
Training as an administrative assistant starts with us every year on 1 August.
During a school internship, I discovered my interest in communication and law and applied to train as an administrative assistant at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. My training at the university is anything but monotonous. The opportunity to transfer divisions regularly gives me an insight into different areas and makes my everyday life exciting and varied. During training, you also have the opportunity to socialise and communicate with other students globally. What I particularly appreciate is the close collaboration with our trainer, the team spirit among us trainees and our mentoring concept, which makes you feel welcome and supported from day one.
