From the legal formalities to organisational issues, we want to make your hiring process as smooth and organised as possible.

  • EU member state: Nationals of an EU member state benefit from full freedom of movement for workers. They do not need to present a residence permit or register with the Foreigners’ Authority (Ausländerbehörde).
  • Non-EU member state: Workers from third countries require a valid visa authorising them to come to work.

Verification of degree qualifications obtained abroad:

  • Requirement: Degree from a German university/university of applied sciences or equivalent foreign degree.
  • Equivalence check: If the foreign qualification is not listed in the ANABIN database, an equivalence check by the German Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) is required. You can find more information at: www.kmk.org/zab/zentralstelle-fuer-auslaendisches-bildungswesen/zeugnisbewertung.html
