Study Preparation Programme Pre-Study Fulda

The program helps international prospective students to prepare for their university studies at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

Participants benefit from:

  • German courses: improve language skills in intensive courses (beginner to DSH level)
  • Subject/bridging courses: learn initial subject knowledge for the study programme
  • Introduction to academic research: Knowledge of methods of academic research at a university

In addition, participants receive valuable information about living and studying in Germany.

  • Visa for attendance (subject to fulfilment of all other visa requirements)
  • Better chances of academic success and faster university studies
  • Refund of the semester fee in the first semester at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
  • Reduction of the course fee by up to 50% for participants with a refugee background
  • Scholarships for the best course participants in the first semester and refund of the course fee for the best German exam

42 participants from 15 countries of origin started their pre-study programme in the winter semester 2025/26.

Applications for the summer semester 2026 from abroad requiring a visa will be accepted until 15 January 2026.
