New RHÖNSTEPS platform

Cascade Gorge, Red Moor, Guckaisee - many people have heard of such destinations in the Rhön. But which tours are particularly beautiful? How do I get to the starting point? And how do I find someone to join me on a hike?

RHÖNSTEPS - a new University Sports platform - provides answers to these questions. The University Sports team would like to invite students and employees to get to know the Rhön as a unique low mountain range and discover it together with others. The platform offers:

• Guided experiences: Hikes, workshops and field trips organised by University Sports in collaboration with partners.
• Digital route guidance: Developed by students and practical supervisors. Completed tours can be downloaded as GPX files and integrated into hiking apps.
• Sports partner exchange: Hiking enthusiasts can find like-minded people here for shared nature experiences.

The next course is a guided hike of around 30 kilometres from Gersfeld via the Schafstein and the Wasserkuppe.
