Literary bequests

The HLB's holdings also include some bequests, most of which are still unprocessed.

A listing can also be found in the open network information system for estates and autographs in Germany, in Kalliope.

  • Alexander Baustädt bequest - (files on the Fulda Lyceal Fund trial)
  • Walter Dietrich bequest - (Economic treatises, correspondence with mining companies)
  • Matthias Hartmann bequest - (biographical material, letters, manuscripts, diaries, newspaper cuttings on the history of Fulda. Including the bequest of Anton Joseph Hartmann)
  • Michael Henkel bequest - (Biographical material, letters, manuscripts, diaries, music. Also the bequest of Heinrich Henkel)

  • Dr. Joseph Theele bequest - (letters, files, collections)
  • Ludwig Trier bequest - (files and photos (Corps Cattia))

A special feature is the only bequest kept at the Campus location:

These are all printed works, i.e. in principle the library of Dr. Walter Bauer, which is why they were indexed in FILIP. Dr. Bauer, born in Heilbronn in 1901, was a member of the Economic Council at the Länderrat in Stuttgart in 1946/47 and from 1946 to 1951 General Trustee for the corporate coal trade in the US occupation zone. From 1952 until his death in 1968 in Fulda, he was Chairman of the Board of Valentin Mehler AG in Fulda, and from 1967 he was also the main shareholder.
