The University, State and Public Library is managed by the director and her deputy and is organised into divisions and staff units. It is a Central University Administration facility of the Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

Approximately 60 salaried employees (equivalent to 40 full-time equivalents) and over 30 student assistants ensure that everything runs smoothly.
