The University, State and Public Library is a Central University Administration facility at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
On the one hand, it ensures the supply of information and knowledge to instructors and students at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, and on the other hand, it fulfils state library tasks together with four other academic libraries in Hesse. In addition to collecting literature and information from the region in fulfilment of the legal deposit requirement, it also collects literature and information about the region. It also catalogues and preserves the valuable historical stock as part of the cultural heritage of the state of Hesse.
In addition to these functions as an academic library, it is also responsible for public library tasks, which it fulfils in close cooperation with the city of Fulda as a university, state and public library.
For its "exceptional integrative concept", the library received the 2015 Hessian Library Prize from the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Hessen-Thüringen. To the press release ... (in german)
