We then invite members of the association exclusively to marvel at the manuscript Johannes Andreae, dating from 1371/1372, Weingarten Abbey, which has been restored by the Friends. Mr Weß, conservator of the HLSB, will be present and give a few explanatory remarks.

My Red Crane. Stories and music that can fly.
Stories, songs, rhythms and melodies about dancing cranes, magical birds, longing and friendship.
Music from Turkey, Arab countries, Israel and Germany, performed on the cello and accordion, frame drum, saz and percussion, with plenty of singing. Texts and songs from various traditions – read and spoken in several languages.

With Tülay Yongaci, storytelling and vocals (Grünes Theater Frankfurt) and Anka Hirsch, music.

Following the performance, there will be an opportunity to fold paper cranes together, which will be assembled into a sculpture that grows from concert to concert.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the reading room.
