The exhibition is accessible from 10 October to 30 November during regular opening hours at the Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz location.
The exhibition "200 Years of Jewish Emancipation in Fulda and the Region", which was presented at Fulda University of Applied Sciences six years ago, can now be seen again. The exhibition is organised by Fulda University of Applied Sciences as part of its anti-Semitism prevention work in collaboration with the HLSB and Dr Michael Imhof from the association "Zukunft Bildung Fulda e.V."
"Anti-Semitism in its many forms is still a reality today. The topic illustrates how relevant the historical struggle for emancipation and equal rights is for how we deal with discrimination and social exclusion today," explains Tina Enders, contact person for the prevention and sensitisation of anti-Semitism at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
The exhibition sheds light on the political decisions that enabled or hindered the emancipation and equality of Jews in Fulda - and always raised questions about the significance of identity and culture. Biographical examples from Fulda illustrate these developments.
