Only media that correspond to the HLSB's acquisition profile can be included in the collection. This is based on the focal points of research, teaching and study at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, the collection profile of the State Library and the literature supply mission of the City Library.

• Please check the catalogue to see if the titles to be given away are already in our stock. As a rule, additional copies cannot be included. Older editions of a title are only of interest if they are of particular historical relevance.
• After checking the catalogue, please give us a list of the media you wish to donate. We need the following information:

• Author or editor
• Title
• Publisher
• Place and year of publication
• Edition, if applicable

• Also note your contact details (surname, first name, address, telephone number, e-mail address) on the list.
• Please hand in the list at one of our service counters or send it by e-mail to service@hlb.hs-fulda.de.

If there are more than 50 media, we first ask for a description of the content of the media, information on age and state of preservation as well as the estimated number of titles you would like to donate.
Please send us this information as a pdf file by e-mail to service@hlb.hs-fulda.de.

If we are interested in the media, please hand them in at one of our service counters. Collection by us is only possible for large donations or in justified exceptions.

When handing over the media, please hand in the written declaration "Provision of media as a gift" at the service counter.
By doing so, you irrevocably transfer to us the unrestricted power of disposal over the donated media. This means that media which we do not (permanently) include in our collection may be passed on to other libraries, used for a book bazaar, sold to second-hand bookshops or discarded. A return to you is not possible.

Conditions of use associated with the donation (e.g. special labelling, separate shelving, restrictions on use, etc.) can only be accepted in justified cases and require a corresponding written agreement with the HLSB management.

From a current value of € 100.00 to be determined by us, you are welcome to receive a donation receipt on request for donations that have been included in our holdings.
