Tablets for loan

External users (not university members) from the city and district of Fulda can borrow tablets. Children and young people under the age of 18 can only borrow an iPad including accessories in the presence of a parent or guardian who signs the loan contract on their behalf.
Only one iPad can be borrowed per person.
These tablets are available at the Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz location at the service desk on the ground floor.

How and where do I borrow an iPad?

At the service desk at the Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz location, you fill in a loan contract and show us your valid library card. If the tablets are on loan, you can reserve an iPad.

How long can I use an iPad?

The loan period is 28 days with the possibility of renewal three times if there is no reservation.

How do I return it?

A return is only possible at the Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz location. We check the condition and carry out a restart. Upon request, you will receive a copy of the loan contract with a certificate of return.

What am I allowed to install?

Settings and applications can be made.

What do I have to consider?

Before returning the tablet, reset it to the factory state using the "Reset function" ("Delete contents and settings") (see instructions).

Does it cost anything?

The use is free of charge.
In the event of damage due to improper use, we will charge you for the cost of repair or compensation. (§20 of the HLSB library regulations "Liability for loss and damage").
