The library of things

Behind the concept of the "library of things" is the global movement of the "sharing economy". The aim is to share items in order to save costs and protect the environment. As a rule, these are items that are not used on a daily basis and therefore do not necessarily have to be bought by everyone.

To support the UN's sustainability goals, the HLSB offers various items to borrow free of charge (or take a look at FILIP):

The devices are available to readers from 18 years onwards with a valid library card of the HLSB.

Items can only be borrowed from the service counter on the ground floor at Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz. Items can be returned via the service counter on the ground floor at the Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz location or during service hours at the Campus location.

The lending period is 28 days. Three further renewals are possible. Once the devices are on loan, they can be reserved.
