Tonies / Tonieboxes
The Toniebox is a soft cube and replaces the CD player in many children's rooms.
The Toniebox is easy to use and by placing the Tonies (audio figures), the audio play starts automatically.
The Tonies are suitable for children from the age of three and above.
There is also a Toniebox with various Tonies on the children's table in the children and young adults department. These can only be used on site and can be listened to with headphones suitable for children.
How long is the loan period?
The loan period is four weeks. Three further renewals are possible.
If all Tonies / Tonieboxes are on loan, you can place a hold via FILIP. You are allowed to borrow 15 Tonies per library card.
Where can I borrow the Tonies / Tonieboxes?
The Tonies are located in the children's and young people's department in the basement at Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz in the audiovisual media area. Only the booklet is in the storage box; you can get the matching Tonie at the service counter in the children and young people area. You can also borrow a Toniebox here.
Items can only be borrowed from the service counter on the ground floor or in the children's and youth area at the Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz location. Items can be returned via the service counter on the ground floor or in the children's and youth area at the Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz location or during service hours at the Campus location.

If the Toniebox cannot be connected to your WiFi, please use this link and follow the instructions.

- WiFi (2.4 GHz WiFi) (5 GHz WiFi is not supported by the Toniebox)
