Library card for legal entities

Legal entities register by submitting a written application from their authorised signatory. Please fill out the application as an authorised signatory. You can name up to three authorised signatories who will use the library on behalf of the legal entity.

The application will be submitted to the library head office for a decision. After approval by the library management, the library card can be collected by the authorised signatory or a proxy at the Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz location upon presentation of the identity card (or passport with registration certificate). The ID card can only be handed over on site.

If authorised representatives no longer belong to the legal entity, the authorised signatory must inform the library management in writing.

The "Application for Legal Entity" form, completed in full by the Institution and approved by the Management, must be submitted in order for the ID card to be issued.
In addition, the* authorised signatory or authorised representative must be able to identify himself/herself by one of the following documents when collecting the ID card:

The validity of your card is usually 3 years. It is automatically renewed for the same period if there have been borrowing transactions during this time.

Please inform us immediately if the name or address of the institution for which you are authorised to represent changes.

If you have lost your library card or it has been stolen, please have your library account blocked immediately. During our service hours, please contact the staff at the service desk; outside service hours, please contact us by e-mail.

The* authorised signatory* or authorised representatives will receive a replacement card for a fee upon presentation of the relevant documents (identity card/passport with registration certificate/residence title).
 

If your institution no longer wishes to use the library, please return the library card to one of our service desks.
