Library card for users from the city and region
You will receive a free library card if you
- have a residence in Germany
- have applied for a library card using the online form
- present the required documents at one of our service desks

If you have lost your library card or it has been stolen, please have your library account blocked immediately. During our service hours, please contact the staff at the service counters; outside service hours, please contact us by e-mail.
You can obtain a replacement library card for a fee upon presentation of the relevant documents (identity card/passport with registration certificate/residence title).
You can appoint up to three people to use the library on your behalf with your library card. The authorised person must be able to identify himself/herself by means of the power of attorney and his/her identity card or passport. You can obtain the form here.
