What is citizen science and who are citizen scientists? An introductory overview of the topic of citizen science and the offers available at HLSB Fulda.
12 November: Predatory Journals, Paper Mills & Fake Science
More and more predatory publishers and fraudulent agencies are exploiting the pressure to publish in research to extract money from researchers through dubious offers. We would like to take a closer look at how research and academic publishing can still be successful, and how to recognise when you are dealing with fraudulent actors.
10 December: Introduction to reference management
Reference management programmes help you to organise, administer and cite your literature sources. We’ll give you an overview of the most important functions.
14 January: What is the FIS?
We’ll take a look at the complete CRIS - current research information system in horstl and show how the various sections can be linked together.
11 February: Personal research data
When conducting research involving (sensitive) personal data, data protection and ethical considerations must be taken into account. This presentation offers a brief overview of what this means in practice for researchers.
