German Book Prize 2025 - the nominees

The selection of the 20 novels nominated for the German Book Prize 2025 has now been finalised.

The jury members have reviewed a total of 200 titles that have been published since February 2025.
The paperback "German Book Prize 2025. The Nominees" contains excerpts (in German) from the selected novels as well as information on the authors and is available to take away free of charge from the service desk at the Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz location of the University, State and Public Library.
The German Book Prize is awarded annually by the "Stiftung Buchkultur und Leseförderung" of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels to the German-language "Novel of the Year".
The award ceremony will take place at the start of the Book Fair on 13 October in the Kaisersaal of Frankfurt's Römer.
