New ProQuest Reader app

ProQuest has now launched its new ‘Ebook Central Reader’ application. This allows you to download ProQuest e-books directly to your personal device and read them offline. The application replaces Adobe Digital Editions and provides a modern, secure and accessible reading experience.

The reader app is designed for both mobile devices and desktop computers. It supports EPUB and PDF files, allows you to perform administration of your e-book loans and devices, and is available for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.

If you wish to download e-books from ProQuest Ebook Central for offline reading, please follow these steps:

1. Register with your Ebook Central account.
2. Download and install the Ebook Central Reader app from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS).
3. Once you have downloaded the app onto your device, you will need a registration code.
5. You can then start downloading your e-books for offline reading.

Important: The new app does not replace the Ebook Central online reader, which you can continue to use for searching, reading in your browser and downloading individual chapters.
