What is ORCID and what do I do with it?

Coffee Lecture on Wednesday, 11 February in the reader's cafe & on Thursday, 12 February online

Successful science communication in the digital age requires researchers to be permanently findable and reliably identifiable online. This is relevant, for example, when applying for a scholarship, submitting an application for external funding or publishing an article. With ORCID iD, the non-profit initiative ORCID offers a persistent identifier free of charge that researchers can use as a kind of digital business card. In our Coffee Lecture we would like to introduce you to the advantages of ORCID and how to use the service.

The Coffee Lectures are a service from the Research-related Services division.

The next course will take place on Wednesday, 11 February at 01:00 p.m. in the HLSB reader's cafe at the campus location (2nd floor in building 12). Coffee will of course be provided.

Alternatively, there will be a Coffee Lecture on Thursday, 12 February at 09:00 a.m. online.

Registration is not required in either case. Just drop by spontaneously.

We look forward to seeing you!
