The Special Stocks Room houses some collections that you can view but not borrow:

• Reference holdings of the Rhön Scientific Collection (WSR)
• Archive holdings (archival documents) of the Wissenschaftliche Sammlung Rhön (WSR)
• Archive of the Research Society Flight and Migration (FFM)
• Peter Kühne Archive (PKA)

The collections are listed in the FILIP search portal. items from these collections can be identified by the note "Standort: 2. OG, Sonderbestände".

The microform scanner is also located in the Special Stocks Room. Microfilmed holdings, such as certain volumes of the Fuldaer Zeitung or other local newspapers, can be viewed on this scanner.

A multimedia PC for the use of electronic media with single-user licences is also available, recognisable in the search portal by the remark "Einzelplatznutzung in der HLB, Standort Campus, 2. OG, Sonderbestände".

Furthermore, holdings such as old newspaper volumes that have not yet been microfilmed or digitised but can only be viewed under supervision to protect their state of preservation can also be viewed in this room.

This also applies to items from interlibrary loans for which the supplier library has stipulated supervised use or has issued a ban on copying or scanning.
