There are numerous research sources for different information needs. Some of the sources and information services available at the HLSB are briefly presented here.

Database Information System (DBIS)Access portal to academic (subject) databases. In databases you can search for journal articles, university studies, conference reports etc., some of which can also be accessed in full text.
German Digital Library (DDB)Access portal to digital images of books, certificates and records, paintings, statues, installations, monuments, films and music from the stocks of German cultural and scientific institutions.
German National Library ( DNB )The German National Library has the task of collecting, permanently archiving, bibliographically cataloguing and making available to the public all German and German-language publications from 1913 onwards, Germanica published abroad and translations of German-language works as well as works by German-speaking emigrants published between 1933 and 1945.
Electronic journals library (EZB)Access portal to all journals that are available online in full text. Please note the availability of the individual volumes and whether you have a subscription to the HLSB.
EuropeanaVirtual library for copyright-free written, visual, audio and film documents etc. from all over Europe.
FILIP - Databases
(list of databases analysed)		Research in academic databases in various specialist fields, in some cases articles etc. are offered in full text. Please note the access options under"Access to electronic resources".
FILIP - local stockPrinted and electronic library items owned by the HLSB.
Fulda digitisation server (FulDig)Digitised manuscripts and other historic stock held by the HLSB.
Fulda document server (FulDok)Members of the Fulda University of Applied Sciences can upload their essays, Bachelor's theses etc. here to make them freely accessible and searchable globally. The HLB also lists many titles, e.g. from the Rhön academic collection (WSR). All titles are catalogued in FILIP.
HeBIS portalGermany-wide search in the stocks of academic libraries. Can be ordered via interlibrary loan.
Hessian BibliographyThe Hessian Bibliography lists literature relating to Hessen from all fields of knowledge, e.g. on Hessian people, places and regions.
Karlsruhe Virtual Catalogue (KVK)Metasearch engine for searching library and book trade holdings on a global scale.
MunzingerOnlineShort biographies of people from all over the world, information on all countries of the world, reference works on literature, film and music
OnleihePortal for the virtual "loan" of library items. Literature, music etc. can be downloaded for a limited period of time. All titles (especially popular science and entertainment literature) are catalogued in FILIP.
Periodicals database (ZDB)Proof of ownership of printed and electronic journals in numerous libraries. No access to journal contents.
