Research data advisory service
We are happy to advise you on all aspects of research data management - by email, telephone or in person. Possible topics are:
- RDM passages in research proposals, data management plans and requirements of research funders
- Dealing with personal research data
- Documentation of data in the course of the project
- Archiving and publishing data after the end of the project, suitable specialised repositories
- Questions on the use of technical RDM services
- For groups (project teams, departments, doctoral centres, etc.), possibly also tailored training courses
After consultation with researchers, we can also consult our HeFDI network (RDM staff at other universities in Hessen) for specific questions. We will then clarify in advance what information can be shared with the HeFDI network - this is often possible in an abstract and anonymised form. Counselling cases are otherwise always confidential.
Please contact us as early as possible, e.g. at an early stage in the preparation of project applications. Optimum advice is otherwise not always possible. Research data management is preferably forward-looking: clarify questions in advance, ‘solve problems before they arise’. Costs for research data management should be included in project proposals wherever possible.
