Students at Fulda University of Applied Sciences can borrow laptops.

How and where do I borrow a laptop?

You order a laptop via our search portal FILIP. Please enter the terms "Laptop HLB". If a laptop is available, come to the service desk on campus during service hours after completing the order process.
There you fill out the loan contract and present us with your student ID (chip card).
We will charge the laptop to your library account.
Only one laptop can be borrowed per person.
Once all laptops have been borrowed, you can reserve a laptop.

How long can I use a laptop?

The loan period for the laptop is 28 days with the possibility of renewal three times, provided that no reservation has been made.

How do I return it?

The laptop can only be returned to the Campus location during service hours at the service desk. We will check the condition and carry out a restart. Upon request, you will receive a copy of the loan contract with a certificate of return.

What do I have to keep in mind?

Always save your files on an external storage device, e.g. a USB stick or on your personal university drive, to avoid data loss.
You have a maximum of 16 GB of storage space on the laptop.
Before returning the laptop, you must reset it according to the enclosed instructions so that all personal data is deleted.

What does it cost?

The use of the laptop is free of charge. Overdue fines are payable if the loan period is exceeded.
In the event of damage due to improper use or loss, we will charge you the cost of repair or compensation for damages in the amount of the replacement value (§20 Liability for Loss and Damage of the HLB User Regulations).
