CAMPUS WORKSTATIONS

Eleven study carrels are available at the campus location. All are located on the 1st floor. Two study carrels are wheelchair accessible.

The study carrels can be used with prior reservation or, if they are free, without reservation. The study carrels can only be reserved by students of the Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

Please note that a study carrel may only be used by one person.

A total of eleven group study rooms are available at the Campus location for groups from 3 to a maximum of 8 or 13 people. Four rooms are located on the 1st floor and a further seven on the 2nd floor.

The group study rooms can be used with prior reservation or, if they are free, without reservation. The rooms can only be reserved by students of the Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

At the Campus location, there is a meeting pod for up to 4 people and a single study pod with a screen on the 1st and 2nd floor respectively.

The pods have excellent soundproofing properties as well as adjustable lighting and ventilation. They offer an exclusive environment for effective group work, one-to-one meetings, creative projects or video calls - all in a quiet and productive atmosphere.

The pods can be used with prior reservation or, if they are free, without a reservation. The pods can only be reserved by students of Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

At the Campus location, you will find double and single desks for free use along the window fronts on the 1st and 2nd floor. Some desks are wheelchair accessible.

All desks are equipped with a desk reservation disk to prevent workstations from being permanently reserved.

A number of PC stations with different functions are available at both locations.

At the Campus location, you will find catalogue and research PCs in the foyer, in the area opposite the service desk and in the training room on the ground floor.

You will find further PC stations on the 1st and 2nd floor near the lifts and a multimedia PC in the Special Collections room on the 2nd floor.

At the campus location, you will find a quiet study room on the 1st floor for concentrated work. Talking or telephoning and the use of notebooks are not permitted here.

There is a training room at the Campus location on the ground floor, which is mainly used for the HLSBs own training classes. If no training class is taking place, you can use the PCs available there.

At the Campus location, you will find the reader's cafe on the 2nd floor. It offers a pleasant atmosphere in which to relax or exchange ideas. But if you enjoy reading or studying in this environment, you can also use the reader's cafe as a place to do so.

The atrium at the Campus location comprises the large open-plan area between the service desk and the CD/DVD shelf. The new furnishings at the end of 2024 will provide you with additional and more diverse learning and working opportunities. The existing PC stations and chairs were supplemented with additional furniture.
