Welcome to the International Summer University (ISU) 2026!

We are excited to welcome you to our beautiful baroque city and to an inspiring international community. From 6 July to 1 August 2026, Fulda will once again become a meeting point for students from around the world – and we look forward to sharing an unforgettable summer full of learning, exchange and intercultural experience with you.

The ISU is a four-week academic and cultural programme offering a unique combination of interdisciplinary seminars, German language courses, and a rich social and cultural programme. You’ll have the opportunity to explore global issues, improve your German, and make lasting international friendships.

The International Summer University is a joint initiative of all public universities and universities of applied sciences in Hessen and is proudly supported by the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts.

The programme is designed for undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines who are interested in questions of society, sustainability, health, culture, and international business, and who want to learn or improve their German language skills while immersing themselves in everyday life in Germany.
