Refugees who would like to learn German or to continue their studies in Fulda are given a warm welcome at Fulda University! We would like to smooth the way for you to embark on a study programme and to make things clearer for you.

Many different possibilities

Make the most of the opportunity to start or to continue your academic education in Fulda:

  • Prepare for university studies by taking German courses or enrolling in Fulda Pre-Study.
  • Attend seminars and lectures in English. If you already have some German, you can of course also attend seminars or lectures in German.
  • Quickly feel at home with the help of our “buddies” and special accommodation programmes.

Documents

If possible, please bring the following documents with you to the consultation interview – they will help us to give you the right advice:

  • Official identity document
  • Evidence of language skills (course or examination certificates)
  • Transcripts of records/school certificates:
    • School leaving certificate (e.g. Baccalaureat)
    • Other documents that admit you to further education in your home country (e.g. university admission examination certificate)
    • University degree certificate (e.g. first degree), evidence of periods of study, transcript of records

Special consultation facilities for refugees

With immediate effect, refugees can attend a consultation interview in the International Office every Thursday from 15.00 to 16.00 without prior appointment.
