DAAD scholarships for doctoral candidates

The UAS.International funding programme of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers individual scholarships for doctoral candidates at German universities of applied sciences to actively participate – in presence or online – at international congresses, conferences, and fairs.

Funding includes travel and accommodation expense allowances (for participation in presence), payment of participation fees (congresses), visitor tickets (fairs), membership fees (max. 1 year) and payment of abstract fees (max. 1 abstract).

Requirements:

• Eligible for funding are doctoral candidates (in independent or cooperative doctoral programmes) at German universities whose place of residence is in Germany.
• Active participation is defined as the presentation of an own lecture or poster, or the main responsibility for the conception and chairing of a panel.
• Not eligible for funding are holders of scholarships that include funding for congress and fair trips.

Applications may be submitted at any time. The following application documents must be submitted no later than 4 months (120 days) before the start of the event: Application questionnaire, CV, abstract and last academic transcript.
