University Information Day

21.05.2022 10:00 - 15:00

More than medicine

If you are interested in medical topics, you can pursue many career paths: whether nursing, midwifery or physiotherapy. In these practice-oriented degree programmes, classical training content is combined with the scientific perspective of a degree programme. From the very beginning, you learn how to answer practical questions independently using scientific methods.

In addition, there is the broad field of professions in which health knowledge combined with business management content is needed. At management and executive level in hospitals and nursing homes, in companies, political contexts, in medical technology, and in an international context.

At the Department of Health Sciences you study in small groups and with personal contact to the lecturers. In modern laboratories, you can put the theoretical knowledge from the lectures into practice and gain a comprehensive view of the challenges in the healthcare sector through the variety of study programmes.

For the International Health Sciences (B.Sc.) degree programme, the department offers you a number of different events which you can find under the following agenda:

  • 10:00 - 10:45 IHS - face the health challenges of the globalised world
Health risks do not stop at national borders, and health opportunities are unequally distributed within and between countries. How you can qualify for the challenges of international and global health is explained by the head of the study programme Prof. Dr. Holst in his presentation on the study programme International Health Sciences.
