Online Workshop starting in October 2017

Over the last years honey has played an important role in the international market. The consumption and use of honey and honey products have increased progressively. Some developing countries have been encountering problems with the quality of honey. As a consequence their product face restrictions on market access in developed countries.

This workshop will help you to understand the effect of honey handling on the quality criteria. It will give you valuable hints for improving the quality of honey. We invite you to attend the online workshop »Quality of Honey in Developing Countries«.

The main topics of the workshop include:

  • Good bee keeping practices
  • Chemical composition of honey
  • Prerequisite programme (hygiene, sanitation, infrastructure, etc.),
  • How to influence the quality criteria of honey (e.g. water, enzymes, HFM),
  • How to properly manage all stages of honey production.

Duration:  October 2 – December 8, 2017
Costs: Participation in the workshop is free of charge.
