This course will address key aspects of what it means to pursue a PhD project and how to “survive it”. The course is open for all PhD students – whether they are at the beginning of their research or already approaching the finish line. It will particularly focus on a) organizational and legal aspects of doing a PhD, b) general elements regarding project design and structure, c) problems arising within fieldwork and writing phases, and d) dissemination of results.
